Beantown

Today, I traveled all day, made two new friends (Hi, Karen and Paul!) on the plane and then upon arrival in Boston was given a quick trip down memory lane (and had what was in probability the first diet Coke I ever had at the Dugout - my old stomping grounds on the BU Campus). After, I had a wonderful dinner at a Turkish restaurant with my old friends Tom and John and when I sent back my overcooked steak kabobs, it took two waitresses and the manager ( because none of then spoke English very well) to grasp the problem.  Finally, the manager looked at me and exclaimed, "Oh, you want your meat bloody!" Ack!  But uh, yes, bloody would be um, fantastic... The three of us spent the rest of the night looking at old photos and talking about the old days, to-day and the days in between.  If twenty plus years have gone by, I don't know where - we've just picked up where we left off, like I never left.  I laughed so hard at those damn photos, I almost cried (what was I *thinking* with that 80s hair?!) and personally, I think we're all better looking now despite our ages.  There's a comfort of being in your own skin that comes with age and I have to say, I am totally digging it.  Lots of laughter, lots of love.  Anyway, I am off to bed, I am working on a new piece to post tomorrow but I am too tired to edit it properly and keep losing my tack.....here's a few photos!

Pam at the Dugout with a diet Coke.  Not like the old days - a shot of Jack Daniels and a beer, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat...
Me and Tom - one of the greatest guys I know and a true friend.  Love you, Wally!!
